Eire Og Annacarty 2-24, Arravale Rovers 1-07.
Eire Og Annacarty made light work of a very much depleted Arravale Rovers in their opening game of the West Junior B Hurling League in Annacarty.
Right from the off, the home side were on top landing the opening 5 points inside the opening ten minutes before Rovers got off the mark. Eire Og duly struck back with a string of points before Richard O'Doherty drove home a goal in the 13th minute. There was no let-up as the home tagged on further points to lead 1-13 to 0-03 at the interval.
There was no let for the visitors in the second half as Eire Og piled on the scores cumulating in a goal for Willie O’Neill with minutes remaining before Rovers scrambled home a consolation goal to leave the final score at 2-24 to 1-07 on full-time. Amongst Eire Og's leading performers were Cathal Coughlan & Pat Aherne in defence with notable contributions from Paul Devlin, Conor Bradshaw and Richard O'Doherty.

Eire Og Annacarty 1-17, Golden\Kilfeacle 0-09.
Eire Og Annacarty maintained their 100% start in the West Junior Hurling League by seeing off Golden\Kilfeacle in Golden on a overcast Tuesday evening.
Once Connie Bradshaw opened the scoring with a goal inside the opening five minutes, they never looked back as they led 1-03 before Golden had their opening score. The home side struggled to make inroads against the dogged Eire Og defence led by Cathal Coughlan and David Breen, and with Connie Bradshaw on song up front. At half-time, Eire Og led 1-08 to 0-06.
This proved to be as close as Golden would get to Eire Og as the visitors landed a string of points to effectively put the game to bed as a contest. Try as they could Golden couldn't get back into the game as Eire Og closed out the game with late points from Sean Breen and Connie Bradshaw to emerge comfortable winners 1-17 to 0-09 at David Grogan's full-time whistle. Amongst Eire Og's leading performers were Cathal Coughlan, David Breen, Mike O'Brien and Connie Bradshaw.

Eire Og Annacarty 2-18, Kickhams 3-11.
Eire Og Annacarty left it late in maintaining their unbeaten record in the Junior Hurling League by seeing off near neighbours Kickhams in this lively encounter held in Annacarty last Tuesday.
The home side were quick out of the traps by landing the opening four points through Cathal Ryan (2), Liam Og O'Dwyer and Conor Bradshaw before Kickhams opened their account with a 65 on 7 minutes. The sides were level within 5 minutes when Kickhams had their first goal, and then hit the front with another 1-2 in quick succession to lead by 5 on the quarter hour. Sean Breen pulled a point back sandwiched between another 2 points from Kickhams before Liam Og O'Dwyer squeezed home a goal in the 20th minute to leave 2 points between the sides. The scores were coming thick and fast with another Kickhams goal in the 26th minute sandwich with a string of points shared between both sides, leaving the half-time score 3-06 to 1-08 in favour of Kickhams.
Cathal Ryan and Conor Bradshaw landed the opening 2 points of the 2nd half only for Kickhams to respond with a brace of their own to leave 4 between the sides 10 minutes into the 2nd half. Now Eire Og began to turn things around with the defence tightening up considerably and the forwards coming into play more. On 49 minutes, ageless veteran John Quinn flashed to the net a Willie O'Neill cross ball to restore the lead for the home side. Soon the lead stretched to four with further points from Conor Bradshaw and John Quinn o ensure Eire Og's 100% record in the league was maintained at Paddy Russell's full-whistle as they emerged winners 2-18 to 3-11. Best for Eire Og were Jordan Hayes, Pat Aherne, Conor Bradshaw and Liam Og O'Dwyer.

Eire Og Annacarty 6-26, Rosegreen 1-10.
Eire Og Annacarty made it 4 out of 4 in the West Junior Hurling by overwhelming a depleted Rosegreen in Annacarty last Tuesday.
It was one way throughout as Eire Og had the opening 4 points inside the first 8 minutes before Rosegreen had their first score. The visitors brought the margin to 2 points but then were hit with a sucker-punch of a well-taken goal from Connie Bradshaw in the 11th minute, followed by another from the ageless John Quinn two minutes later. A steady flow of points eased Eire Og further ahead to lead at the interval 2-15 to 0-06.
The second half was more or less the same one-way traffic as the home side piled on the agony for Rosegreen with some well-worked points followed by goals from John Quinn and Liam Og O'Dwyer on 44 and 48th minutes respectively. Rosegreen scrambled home a goal with 10 minutes remaining before Eire Og closed out the game with goals from Willie O'Neill and sub Michael Buckley to run out facile winners. Fergal Horgan's full-time whistle put the visitors out of their misery. Eire Og's stand-out performers were David Breen, Paul Downey, Connie Bradshaw, Mike O'Brien, Willie O'Neill and Sean Breen.

Eire Og Annacarty 2-13, Cappawhite 0-11.
Eire Og made it 5 from 5 after seeing off neighbours Cappawhite in Annacarty on Sunday morning.
The home side went 3 points up before Cappawhite responded with a brace of their own. Eire Og had the game’s opening goal through a slice of good fortune when Paul Downey’s long ball eluded the Cappawhite goalie. Cathal Ryan followed up with another goal by deflecting Michael Buckley’s long ball into the net. Eire Og led 2-09 to 0-05 at the interval.
Cappawhite came more into the game in the 2nd half, reducing the margin to seven, but were unable to get a much-needed goal thanks to a well-marshalled Eire Og backline. Eire Og managed to do just enough to emerge winners 2-13 to 0-11. Best for the home side were Cathal Coughlan, Pat Aherne, Mike O’Brien and Connie Bradshaw.

Solohead 3-11, Eire Og Annacarty 0-09.
Eire Og Annacarty's unbeaten run in the West Junior B Hurling League was ended last Friday in Solohead where they were defeated by the home side.
Scores were hard to come by as both sides struggled to find the range with some poor shooting and strong defending evident throughout. Solohead got their opening goal from a counter to hit the front on 16 minutes and they never relinquished that lead from there until the end of the game. The home side went into the halftime break 1-05 to 0-05 ahead.
Any hope of an Eire Og revival was quickly put to bed when Solohead landed their second goal inside the opening minutes to put further daylight between the sides and this was further enhanced with further points to stretch ahead by nine by the third quarter. In spite of scores from Sean Breen and Michael Buckley, Eire Og short a number of regulars had no answer as Solohead finished their third goal minutes from full-time to run out comfortable winners 3-11 to 0-09. Leading performers for Eire Og were Cathal Coughlan, Mike Fox, David Breen, Eoghan Loughman and Mike O'Brien.

Eire Og Annacarty 3-15, Clonoulty\Rossmore 0-12.
Eire Og Annacarty got back to winning ways by overcoming a stiff test from Clonoulty\Rossmore in the latest round of the Junior B Hurling League held in Annacarty on Tuesday. This win guaranteed their progression to the League semi-finals.
The visitors were quick off the blocks by landing the first three points inside the opening 10 minutes before Eire Og opened their account. Clonoulty led by 3 on the first quarter mark. Eventually the home side got to grip with proceedings as they dominated the second quarter through 4 unanswered points from Richard O'Doherty, Michael Buckley, Pat Aherne and Liam Og O'Dwyer to take the lead with 6 minutes before the break. Paul Devlin broke through the Clonoulty defence to flash an unstoppable shot to the net to stretch the lead further for Eire Og who lead at the interval, 1-08 to 0-06.
The action in the early stages of the 2nd half was end to end as both swapped points inside the opening 10 minutes before Liam Og O'Dwyer flashed home Eire Og's 2nd goal to put the home side ahead by seven. Clonoulty plugged away but needed a goal to try to get back into the game. A goal eventually came with five minutes remaining, but alas for Clonoulty it was Eire Og that got through Richard O'Doherty. Eire Og flashed over a hat-trick of points in the closing minutes to run out comfortable winners, 3-15 to 0-12 at full time. Eire Og's leading performers were Cathal Coughlan, Eoghan Loughman, Mike O'Brien, Paul Devlin and Richard O'Doherty.

Eire Og Annacarty 1-17, Sean Treacys 4-05.
Eire Og Annacarty wrapped up their round robin campaign of the West Junior B League by doing just enough to hold off a late surge from Sean Treacys to emerge victors in Kilcommon last Tuesday.
With the backing of a stiff breeze the visitors had the better of the opening half, leading by 6 points at the first quarter mark, thanks to scores from Conor Devlin, Richard O'Doherty, Michael Buckley and Connie Bradshaw. After TJ Quigley opening Sean Treacys' account in the 17th minute, Cathal Ryan latched onto Connie Bradshaw's long ball to flick home a goal to put Eire Og well ahead. Further points followed to leave the half-time score 1-07 to 0-02 in favour of Eire Og.
Richard O'Doherty opened the scoring for Eire Og at the beginning of the second half with another point before the home side struck for their first goal within a minute through Shane Fahey. Connie Bradshaw and Mike O'Brien steadied matters for Eire Og as Sean Treacys gradually clawed their way back into the game with their second goal finished by Dylan Fahey on 36 minutes. Eire Og stayed ahead all the way with points from play and placed balls, as Sean Treacys' veteran keeper Seamus Butler saved well from Cathal Ryan when a goal looked on. Shane Fahey landed 2 more goals in the closing ten minutes, but it was all in vain for the home side as Eire Og held out to emerge winners and finish top of the table 1-17 to 4-05.

Eire Og Annacarty 0-22, Clonoulty\Rossmore 2-07.
Eire Og Annacarty came through the League semi-final by overcoming Clonoulty\Rossmore in Annacarty.
With Connie Bradshaw and Paul Devlin in top form, Eire Og were never led in the entire contest. Although if Clonoulty were steadier in front of goal, it would be a lot closer. Thanks to scores from Connie Bradshaw and Paul Devlin, the home side led 0-10 to 0-02 at the interval.
Clonoulty kept in touch thanks to a brace of goals to leave the minimum between the sides at the three-quarters mark. It was as close as it got for the visitors as Eire Og powered home to win convincingly 0-22 to 2-07. Along with Connie Bradshaw and Paul Devlin, others to impress for Eire Og were Cathal Coughlan, Mike Fox, Mike O’Brien, Willie O’Neill and Liam Og O’Dwyer.

Eire Og Annacarty Donohill claimed a first ever Maria Marron Palmers Hill Stud West Junior B Hurling League title when they overcame the challenge of Cappawhite on Tuesday evening in Cashel. John Quinn’s second half goal put daylight between the sides and while Dean O’Dwyer goaled for Cappawhite at the very end Eire Og had done enough to secure victory.
Cappawhite were forced into an early change with Pat O’Neill not starting at full back. This meant that Tim Meagher moved from full forward to full back with Davy Orr coming into the full forward line.
Cappawhite opened up an early advantage leading 0-3 to 0-1 after three minutes. James Bradshaw opened their account and this was followed by a Fionn Brady pointed free. Conor Bradshaw replied with a pointed free for Cappawhite but Davy Orr a late introduction to the Cappawhite starting line restored their two-point advantage. Eire Og soon found the target and added points from Paul Downy and Conor Bradshaw all from play. Both teams were evenly match at this stage and Colm O’Dwyer levelled the game. Conor Bradshaw pointed and Eoghan Ryan responded to tie up the game at 0-5 apiece.
Eire Og were coming far more into the game and would dominate the scoreboard for the second quarter. Pat Aherne was a dominant figure at centre back as was Dan Hogan at wing back. The Eire Og defence giving very little space to the Cappawhite forwards. Up front the half forwards of Paul Devlin and Paul Downey were causing serious problems. John Quinn, Conor Bradshaw and Paul Downey all pointed in a three-minute spell and two minutes later their lead was out to four points when Willie O’Neill opened his account. Eire Og could have been further ahead but for some missed opportunities. Fionn Brady pointed from a free just before the half time whistle. Eire Og ahead 0-9 to 0-6 at the break.
Cappawhite started the second half livelier with Paddy Julian as he did in the first half taking the challenge to Eire Og. Davy Orr cut the gap to two but they failed to take advantage of further opportunities as they seem to go for goal when points would have done. Conor Bradshaw opened Eire Og’s account for the second half with a pointed free. Scores were slow in coming but on the thirteenth minute following some hard work and a good Eire Og move John Quinn fired the sliotar to the net to open up a six-point advantage. Eire Og seem far more comfortable at this stage as Cappawhite struggled for a foothold on the game. Fionn Brady added another point for them but points from Conor Bradshaw and Paul Downey further extended Eire Og’s advantage. Cappawhite did rally and Dean O’Dwyer added two points from frees while Donagh Heffernan pointed from play. Deep in injury time Dean O’Dwyer goaled from a free but it was the last attack of the game. Eire Og Annacarty/Donohill victorious on a final score of 1-13 to 1-11.
Afterwards Willie O’Neill, Eire Og captain accepted the John O’Gorman perpetual cup from John O’Shea West Board Chairman and Maria Marron of Palmers Hill stud which sponsor the competition.
Best for Cappawhite were Noel Ryan and Denis Kelly in defence, Paddy Julian in midfield and Fionn Brady.
Eire Og were very solid in defence with Mike Fox, Pat Aherne and Dan Hogan to the fore. Conor Bradshaw got on a lot of ball in midfield while Paul Devlin’s pace caused a lot of problems.
