Eire Og Annacarty put aside their disappointment of losing the West Senior Hurling replay by dismantling a weakened Kiladangan side in this hopelessly one-sided Tom Cusack Cup quarter-final held on a cold Wednesday eveing in Dr. Morris Park. This victory ensures Eire Og's Senior status for 2020 and into the Tom Cusack semi-finals with Kiladangan entering the relegation play-offs.

The early exchanges were lively with Kiladangan leading 0-02 to 0-01 after the first 5 minutes, Paul Downey's close-in free sandwiching Kiladangan's efforts. This was as good as it got for the North Tipp side however as Eire Og gradually got control around the middle third, ensuring points from Brian Fox (free), Mike Bradshaw, Paul Downey and Tom Fox to lead by three by the 20th minute. A foul on Connie Bradshaw earned Eire Og a penalty in the 21st penalty. This oppertunity was wasted when Paul Downey's tame effort was saved, with Aidan Griffin shooting wide in the follow up. This let-off for Kiladangan proved short-lived as points from Connie Bradshaw, Donal O'Dwyer, Ronan O'Brien and Paul Downey (free) gave Eire Og a 0-09 to 0-02 half-time lead.

Whatever chance of a Kiladangan comeback in the 2nd half was quickly killed off inside the opening seconds when Brian Fox had a goal in the very first attack. From there on, it was one-way traffic as Eire Og attacked at will as Kiladangan found it possible to get their hands on the ball. The points flowed at will for Eire Og through Paul Downey, Cian Mooney, Liam Og O'Dwyer, Brian Fox and Donal O'Dwyer, along with goals from Richard O'Doherty (41m) and Tom Fox (58m) ensured the West Tipp side emerged facile winners, 3-20 to 0-02. Johnny Butler's full-time whistle put Kiladangan out of their misery.
